Featured Project: PROJECT TITLE

Featured Project: Provo Reservoir Canal Enclosure Project

Client: Provo River Water Users Association

Our firm is acting as the program manager for this $150 million project.  We worked with a stakeholder committee of various agencies including PRWUA, MWDSLS, Central Utah Water Conservancy District, Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District, Bureau of Reclamation, Department of Interior, and the Provo Reservoir Canal Company to formulate, plan, and develop funding for the project.  The project encloses the PRCEP from the mouth of Provo Canyon some twenty miles to the Point of the Mountain at the Salt Lake/Utah County line.  The canal is being enclosed with 126-inch steel pipeline.  BC&A developed the conceptual design, preliminary design, assisted with development of three separate environmental assessments for the project, supervised the design consultants, and is providing management during construction for the project.  The project moves its way through northern Utah County through seven cities and through back yards of residents.  BC&A has worked with the residents adjacent to the canal to prepare them for the project, address their concerns, and work with the construction contractor and residents to minimize impacts to the community.  The project has a multitude of stakeholders and affected agencies.  It has been our job to coordinate this group and their diverse interests.  The project has a strict funding limit of $150 million.  It has been our job to manage to this budget.  We are presently $2.0 million under budget.
