
Featured Project: Southwest Aqueduct Reach 2
Client: Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District
Bowen Collins & Associates completed engineering design and is currently managing construction of the Southwest Aqueduct Reach 2 Project in Salt Lake County, Utah. When complete, the Southwest Aqueduct will provide the District with additional conveyance capacity and a reliable backup to the existing Jordan Aqueduct system. Together, these pipelines will serve a large portion of the required drinking water to the growing western half of the Salt Lake Valley. This important project includes large interconnection vaults between the two aqueducts, a new large diameter magnetic flow meter vault, new pig launching structures for both aqueducts, and a new mainline valve vault.



Quick Project Facts:
- Over 12,000 feet of 66-inch diameter pipe
- Cement mortar lined and polyurethane coated welded steel pipe
- Full width reconstruction of approximately one mile of 3200 West St.
- Full time construction management and engineering services during construction
- Management of a full time public information program
- Coordination with cities, county, state agencies, utilities, canal companies, and others
- Total project cost is approximately $14.5 million
