BC&A Wins ACEC Awards!

December 10, 2012

BC&A was honored to accept three awards from ACEC during the awards banquet on November 30, 2012.

For the first award, BC&A, along with South Valley Sewer District, won the Grand Conceptor Award for the Jordan Basin Water Reclamation Facility. The project was a five year design and construction project for a state-of-the-art membrane bioreactor (MBR) wastewater treatment facility. It has an initial treatment capacity of 15 million gallons a day and is one of the largest MBR facilities in the U.S.

The second award received was an Merit Award for the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District Southwest Aqueduct Phase 2 Project. This project is a 66-inch diameter pipeline extending over 12,000 feet in length. The project will provide additional capacity for the District and will also deliver drinking water to the developing western half of the Salt Lake Valley.

Finally, one of BC&A’s staff members, Cristina Nelson, won the Young Engineer of the Year Award. Cristina has been with BC&A for over four years and is a graduate of Utah State University with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Congratulations to all!
