CAD Design Technician (Draper, Utah)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
BC&A has an immediate opening for a full-time position as a CAD Design Technician in Draper, Utah. The applicant will have experience in designing and creating 3D models, drafting plans, and creating detailed drawings.
JOB TYPE: Full-time
EDUCATION: High School Diploma
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Efficiently and effectively use AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Develop expertise and efficiency with Revit, ArcGIS, and Bentley Microstation products.
- Assist in developing engineering designs for civil site and grading plans, pipelines, pump stations, treatment plant and related facilities, and developing details for structural and other disciplines.
- Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to ensure quality design projects are delivered.
- Help maintain company-wide CAD Standards and Practices.
- Keep informed with the latest developments in CAD and Modeling software and help incorporate new developments into the company practice.
- Check your own work and participate in quality assurance reviews that include the work of others.
- Demonstrate initiative to improve your job skills, become a more proficient designer, and assist in training others regarding the use of CAD software and technical design basics.
- Follow schedule of priorities as established by supervisor.
- Promote the firm by maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
Preferred SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Autodesk Civil 3D (Required)
- Autodesk Revit
- Bentley Microstation/Openroads Designer
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
The successful candidate will also have a strong understanding of engineering principles and be able to create accurate and precise designs that meet the specifications of the project. We are looking for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. As a design technician, you will assist engineers and project managers to prepare and complete project designs. You will be responsible for the accurate development and presentation of project layouts and details.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a senior landscape architect, you will have the opportunity to work with a Principal Landscape Architect, landscape designer, environmental scientists, and engineers on projects related to design, construction management, environmental planning, technical writing, and project management of landscape design projects.

As a senior hydrogeologist, you will work with other hydrogeologists, environmental scientists and engineers to lead the hydrogeology efforts on projects including components of field investigations, data management, construction management, technical writing, groundwater investigation, and water well design.
JOB TYPE: Full-time
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology, Engineering or Environmental Science.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE)
- Strong understanding of geology, physical hydrogeology, surface, and subsurface hydrogeology
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in geologic logging of boreholes, monitoring well installation, oversight of water well drilling and installation, oversight of well hydraulic testing, and groundwater and surface water sampling and flow measurements
