As a water resources engineer, you will work with and under the direction of other engineers and environmental scientists to plan, design, and oversee construction on projects including components of water resources planning, water and wastewater treatment, water transmission, sewer collection, stormwater drainage, flood control, groundwater management, and/or environmental services.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Senior Hydrogeologist – Draper, Utah
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a senior hydrogeologist, you will work with other hydrogeologists, environmental scientists and engineers to lead the hydrogeology efforts on projects including components of field investigations, data management, construction management, technical writing, groundwater investigation, and water well design.
JOB TYPE: Full-time
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology, Engineering or Environmental Science.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE)
- Strong understanding of geology, physical hydrogeology, surface, and subsurface hydrogeology
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in geologic logging of boreholes, monitoring well installation, oversight of water well drilling and installation, oversight of well hydraulic testing, and groundwater and surface water sampling and flow measurements
- Capable of working efficiently with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal staff
- Willingness to travel for field work as dictated by project demands (remote locations and outside work in various climates)
- GIS and AutoCAD software experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office

As a senior landscape architect, you will have the opportunity to work with a Principal Landscape Architect, landscape designer, environmental scientists, and engineers on projects related to design, construction management, environmental planning, technical writing, and project management of landscape design projects.

Construction Manager – Draper, Utah
JOB DESCRIPTION:
BC&A has an immediate opening for a full-time position in Construction Management in Draper, Utah. The applicant will be responsible for managing and observing construction projects to ensure that projects meet the requirements of the project documents.
JOB TYPE: Full-time
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management preferred but not required.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years related job experience in Engineering or Construction.
- Special inspection certifications or the ability to obtain certifications within six months of hire. Professional and effective in verbal and written communication skills.
- Competent computer experience in preparing and organizing project documentation.
- Manage construction projects to ensure compliance with the project documents.
- Coordinate review of technical submittals, request for information/interpretation, work change directives, track project changes, and produce documentation for change orders.
- Oversee contractor’s compliance with permitting and other project requirements.
- Document, photograph and report the quality of construction workmanship on the project site. Witness and record the progress of the contractor’s schedule. Interface with the general contractor and the project team as the project owner’s representative.
- Lead coordination meetings with clients, general contractors, subconsultants, and other government agencies.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Candidate must understand various types of construction trades and be able to perform construction management of municipal, heavy civil, commercial, and utility projects. Candidate shall be attentive of project schedules and be vigilant of the work being performed. Candidate must observe the work intently, note items that do not appear in compliance, and promptly notify the project superintendent and the engineering project manager. Candidate must have a good understanding of industrial, commercial, and municipal processes. Applicant must be willing to attend continuing education courses and obtain necessary certifications. Additionally, the applicant must be physically able to negotiate safely around a project site and observe items in trenches, on rough terrain, and on high scaffolding.
